NEW OWNERSHIP FOR TUBMAN HEATING LIMITED

Dear Customers

The current Directors of Tubman Heating Limited, Jim Quinn and Chris Callen, are thrilled to announce the sale of the business to Tubman Holdings Limited with effect from 1 June 2024. Company operations remain the same, it is the shareholders and Board of Directors that change.

The company will now effectively be owned by Joel Surges, Chuck Slogrove and our CEO, Mike Buckley. Directors under the new shareholding will be Joel, Chuck and Chris Callen. Chris was Managing Director of Tubman Heating Limited from early 2013 to late 2021and Chairman from then until today. Mike joined as CEO in late 2021 and will continue to manage the business through the senior management team.

Here’s an introduction to the new Shareholder/Directors

Joel Surges has a background in business operations, strategy and M&A, primarily in the TMT and energy sectors. Joel spent four years in the M&A Integration team at Liberty Global, covering acquisitions, mergers, joint ventures and disposals. Joel also held commercial strategy roles at two of Liberty’s energy businesses, specialising in the development of consumer propositions for solar panels, EV charging and HVAC products. More recently, Joel was a Senior Strategy Manager at Nexfibre, a leading UK fibre network operator, and previously held analyst and corporate advisory roles at financial institutions including Macquarie Bank and PwC.

Chuck Slogrove is an entrepreneur and investor having founded two companies in the financial services and technology sectors. Trail limited is a CRM system used by financial advisers across New Zealand, while the Kiwi Adviser Network is one of the largest head groups for financial advisers in New Zealand. Together these businesses represent over 800 financial advisers in New Zealand. Chuck has experience in company governance, strategy, business development, operations, and investment.
