As leaders of change we are committed to reducing our own carbon footprint, while helping our customers reduce their emissions and bring New Zealand closer to a net zero future.
As part of the Energy Industry we are planning and implementing our own emission reduction goals to help New Zealand reach the 2050 net zero target. Our first step towards electrifying our fleet was the purchase of a lithium battery forklift. The HANGCHA new energy forklift has a dedicated rapid charging station in our warehouse and is energy efficient with low maintenance and long service life.
Our emissions reduction target plan includes helping our customers reach their own sustainability goals through efficient and environmentally friendly products and partnering with manufacturers who are working towards the global net zero target.
Manufacturers continue to reduce and minimise the environmental impact their products have during final use and helping customers increase efficiency and sustainability.

We continue to lower our environmental footprint by separating recyclables from general waste and reducing the amount of waste being sent to landfill. Each branch is partnered with their local recycling provider for everyday and cardboard recycling, as well as local metal recyclers for project waste metal that can be recycled. Our courier partners, NZ Couriers are Toitū Carbon Reduce Certified with their greenhouse gas emissions measured in accordance with ISO 14064-1.

Our cloud-based CRM system has allowed us to drastically reduce our reliance on paper, especially for our technicians who can access all forms, manuals, timesheets, invoices and ordering online while in the field. All our technicians are equipped with a mobile phone and tablet pre-loaded with our secure CRM application and share drive. This system also allows our schedulers to allocate work to the field team in real time reducing travel times and fuel consumption.
Our goal for on-the-job sustainability includes the use of Europress crimping tools and products, where possible, to reduce the need for welding using fossil fuels.
